Jill Yavorsky
Dr. Jill Yavorsky is an associate professor in the sociology department and in the interdisciplinary Organizational Science doctoral program at the UNC Charlotte. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from The Ohio State University in 2017. Her research interests include occupational segregation patterns, dynamics of economically successful couples, divisions of labor of new parents, and career and workplace outcomes. Dr. Yavorsky’s work has been featured in top academic journals including American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, Journal of Marriage and Family, and Gender & Society, as well as in mainstream media outlets such as the New York Times, TIME, Forbes, Washington Post, Newsweek, Slate, Chicago Tribune, etc. In addition to publishing and teaching, Dr. Yavorsky enjoys consulting with firms on issues of diversity and inclusion.
